Special Assembly by Grades II & III

Grade II- International Friendship Day and Malala Day Grade III- Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Chandigarh, Haryana.

Children of Grade 2 and 3 presented the special assembly on Wednesday, 26thJuly2017, to observe International Friendship Day, Malala Day and showcasing the Nationalism theme on Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Chandigarh.

The day began with an introductory speech by Grade2 students on the significance of Friendship Day and its celebration worldwide. This was followed by a small skit and Kannada song by the children signifying the importance of friends and friendship in our life.

Children and Women Rights Activist. The children beautifully showcased Malala’s struggle and hardships and how her challenges motivated her to become a social activist.

Grade 3 students showcased the nationalism spirit by displaying colorful glimpses of Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Chandigarh and Haryana. The programme started with GurbaniShabad,followed by Gidda and Bhangda from the state of Chandigarh, Haryani folk dance tradition from Haryana and Garhwal-.folk dance from Uttarakhand The children were all dressed in colorful costumes representing different states.

Children enacted famous personalities from Uttar- Pradesh- like ShriBirjuMaharaj-famous Kathak Dancer, TulsiDas ,Kabir Dasfamous for their dohas and Nawab of Lucknow.

The special assembly concluded by awarding certificate and trophy to Auyush Saxena of Grade2A by Ms. PoonamMitra- AA- Primary for achieving excellence in academics from his previous school.

The special assembly ended with the National Anthem.
