Quiz Competition Secondary based on Three States

An Interschool Quiz Competition was conducted for Grades VI to X on 17th June, 2017. It gave the participants an opportunity to explore and exhibit their knowledge about the three different States of India – Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh.

The House Coordinator cordially welcomed the judge for the competition and Headmistress Ms. Daisy Bastian, the Academic Administrator Secondary Ms. Neelam Sharma and the students to the programme. The houses were represented in four teams with four students each, two from grades VI-VIII and two from IX & X respectively. The quiz comprised of three rounds, covering topics on the three Indian States. The first round was a Picture Round in which each House had to answer two questions based on the picture shown. The time limit was 1 min each. In the second round each team had to answer two questions based on the video shown. The final round was Rapid Fire Round. Each house could answer as many as questions possible in the 1 min time given to them.

Water House was the show stealer and won the first place. The second and the third prize were secured by Fire House and Earth House respectively. The students enjoyed the quiz competition a lot and were able to enhance their knowledge through the questions asked. The quiz was conducted by the House In-Charge Ms. Kalavathy Hiremath & the House Coordinator Ms. Seema Madhu in a very interactive way. The Headmistress Ms. Daisy Bastian shared her feedback about the competition at the end and encouraged students to take part in future competitions even more seriously.
