IK's Special Activity(Rakhi making)

"I vow to protect you at all times, from all kinds of evils and to be there for you in hours of need or crisis."

The Bond of love between a brother and a sister is one of the most beautiful and chaste relationships of all. Raksha Bandhan or Rakhi is a festival to celebrate this bond. The festival is celebrated with the tying of the Rakhi thread around a brother’s wrist. This thread, which pulsates with sisterly love and sublime sentiments, is rightly called the ‘Rakhi’. It means a bond of protection. The day involves a lot of gift exchange and merry making.

The students of IKs had their special activity of Rakhi Making. They made different kinds of colourful Rakhis. Children were also told the significance of Raksha Bandhan or “Rakhi”. The children took part in the activity with lot of interest and enthusiasm. The Activity was conducted in their respective classrooms. All the children of IK’s enjoyed a lot.
