Field Trip to Chitrakala Parishad, Bengaluru by Grades 6A, 6B & 8
Karnataka Chitrakala Parishad is an Art Complex , operating in Bangalore from the mid sixties as the leading center for Visual Arts . It is a landmark for Visual Culture in the city and the state. Based on our lines of integration , Students from Grade VI A ,VIB & VIII went for a field trip to Chitrakala Parishad, Bengaluru.
Student’s were excited on seeing the huge gallery of Paintings by Raja Ravi Varma , Nicholas Roerich , H.K.Kejriwal etc.They also had a visit at the museum which was worth visiting. The gallery has rotating exhibits while the museum has permanent displays of paintings and crafts. Apart from the thirteen permanent museum galleries ,five other galleries are permanently rented out to quality exhibition of works of artists and art from various parts of not only India but also of International bearing .The Handicraft Mela and the Chitra Santhe (art market), are conducted here which provide outlets for artists and craftsmen.
